No, Seb, please don’t. I really don’t want Seb Coe to run for IAAF president and here’s why #joblogs

Lord Coe, athletics legend, king of all London 2012 fabulousness and two-time Olympic champion has announced he is to run for the presidency of the world athletics governing body, the IAAF.

As the news was revealed this morning I saw my boyfriend’s eyes light up while I slumped with dread, knowing exactly what was coming next. ‘Ooh Seb, Seb. You’re so great Seb. Thank you Seb,’ my other half taunted me.

My problem with the clearly ideal candidate is purely personal. It gives my boyfriend the ammunition to bring up the following excruciating kiss-arse video from yours truly taken behind the scenes at the London 2012 opening ceremony rehearsals of which I was taking part as one of the 1970s dancers.

Seb turned up being all pleasant and friendly, wishing us all luck, signing loads of autographs, generally being a very nice human being and making a lost of cast members very happy. That is my only excuse.
