- Jo was editor of Women in Sport magazine, and works on a freelance basis for BBC Sport, The Sunday Times, Sport magazine, talkSPORT online, and for the past two years has been publishing this here SportsLiberated.com and its former identity SportChick.co.uk
- Jo contributes to various podcasts and radio shows including BBC Radio Sheffield
- Artistic gymnastics, alpine skiing and extreme sports are Jo’s favourite subjects but she is passionate about many sports

- The former gymnast was a stuntwoman in a feature film
- Flying to Tokyo for a long weekend purely to watch the 2011 World Gymnastics Championships
- Volunteering at the Sport Relief Mile in London, spending the day as an on-course marshal
